It's a lot of text to read but important. Most likely your questions
will be answered here. Please read them before you buy or sell parts or
submit questions regarding the conditions of used parts or shipping costs!
The Terms and Conditions are divided into paragraphs. Simply click on
them and scroll down the page.

1 Integrity and Timeliness of Merchandise
The catalogs (available free for download)
contain only the most important parts; others upon request. My parts
inventory includes the most frequently asked for new and used parts
and expands constantly! Yet, inventory is only good as long as supply
lasts; not every listed item is always available; many of the listed
items are one of a kind. Upon request, I will register a search for
a part and call you back, if I can deliver it at a later time.
The catalogs are the up to date at the time of publishing, since they
are continually updated. Sometimes the timeliness is lost over time.
That's why I recommend downloading a new catalog
every few months.
The Figures and part-numbers in the VW Bug catalog always refer
to the picture catalog VW 1200/1300 (Standard Bug). You can also use
it to search for parts for VW 1302/03 (Super Bug).
The Figures and part-numbers in the VW Bus catalog always refer
to the picture catalog for the VW-Transporter since 8/67. Use it even
to search for parts for the Transporter before 8/67.
§
2 Quality
The quality listed reflects my own personal high standards, the German
school grade principle:
0: Better than original
1: Top quality, original VW i.e. German original edition
2: Very good quality, hardly distinguishable from original, mainly
from Europe
3: Good quality, minor limitations regarding durability/match,
mostly imported from outside of Europe
4: Still useable quality, with visible limitations regarding
durability/match, mostly goods imported from outside of Europe
5: Poor quality, only for emergency use, i.e. lack of alternative
6: Unusable (obviously I don't offer those)
§
3 Condition of Parts
The condition of parts equally reflects my own personally high standards,
the German school grade principle:
0: Better than new
1: New
2: New condition, minor visible usage
3: Normal visible usage
4: Needs to be repaired
5: Needs to be restored, but useable
6: Scrap
§
4 Quantities and Price Units
Unless indicated separately, prices are in Euro per piece! This
includes 16% VAT. For delivery to an address outside of the EU or to
an EU-external country and to a company with its own Sales Tax ID number,
divide the price by 1.16 and if appropriate add the customs duties and
VAT charges of the applicable country.
By retroactive export to a Non-EU-country I will refund the VAT upon
presentation of evidence of the export (usually through the customs
office).
§
5 Parts Exchanges
When I offer parts for sale in an exchange, the refundable discount
given upon return of the old part is listed in brackets after the price.
I will give you an additional €5.00 discount if you first deliver
or send the old part before I send you (or you pick up) the 'new'. This
saves on bookkeeping!
§
6 Price Changes
Possible at any time, but seldom high!
§
7 Ordering
Ordering can be done by telephone or in writing. When writing, please
make sure to include your telephone number, so you can be reached in
case of questions. Or give your e-mail address! In addition, state the
first [admission] registration date, the serial number, i.e. motor identification
letter and number of the installed engine (not the one listed on the
paperwork!) and the specific manufacturing details of the part (color,
page etc.). It is important to list additional information required
for certain parts (size, form, manufacturer etc.).
The number in the picture catalog preceding the replacement part
description serves for your information only: It is NOT the ordering
number. Just giving this number when ordering is NOT enough!
§
8 Delivery
I can make deliveries to all regular meeting places in and around Munich
and others upon request. Basically I can deliver all parts: especially
engines, transmissions and body.
§
9 Shipping and Handling Costs
The shipping costs and packaging materials depend on the destination
country, delivery service used, weight, size, urgency of shipment and
method of payment.
In general UPS shipments are quicker but often more expensive than
the German mail system (particularly to foreign countries). UPS requires
a person to be present to receive the shipment.
Particularly awkward parts (length exceeds 270 cm or circumference
is greater than 360 cm) or super heavy parts (exceeding 70 kg) are shipped
with a trucking company. Please request a price quote for these items
(also see § 4: Prices above).
Shipping and handling fees include 16% VAT (Value Added Tax).
Germany
German Federal Mail System (Deutsche Post AG) shipments:
a) €12.00 - 20.00 for packages up to 31.5 kg
and 60x60x120 cm, depending on weight and shipping materials needed.

than 60x60x120 cm) but no longer than 175 cm and a maximum circumference
of 360 cm.
c) €25.00 surcharge for bulky goods (packages that are not
square or longer than 175-200 cm in length and a maximum circumference

UPS (United Parcel Service) shipments::

in length and a maximum circumference of 330 cm, depending on weight
and packaging materials.

as well (see § 4: Prices).
Basically anything can be shipped to anywhere! Even large vehicles
when necessary! Just a question of cost!
§
10 Payment
1. COD only within the EU, to Switzerland and some other
European countries.
2. Pre-payment via bank draft within the EU and
to Switzerland for €2.50 discount but only with a binding written
order by letter, fax or e-mail and by observing the guidelines listed
in these catalogs! After submitting the order, please wait for confirmation
of availability of the parts and only then transfer the total invoice
amount to the following account:
Sparkasse Fuerstenfeldbruck, BLZ 70053070, Acct. #1163328, Account owner:
Ralf Kurschewitz
3. 3. Cash in Advance (only in US-$ or Euro) or
by credit card. Only method of payment for non-EU-countries (with the
exception of Switzerland and some other European countries). €15.00
discount within the EU, to Switzerland and some other European countries.
§
11 Delivery time
Within Germany usually 2-4 working days. During peak season (spring)
sometimes longer. Depending on distance to foreign countries at least
7 working days.
By pre-payment with bank draft at least a week longer.
When using '20/20 Express Service' (20% surcharge on all parts prices,
minimum €20.00) one to two days faster.
When using UPS Express Mail (basic shipping cost times three) an additional
one to two days faster.
§
12 Warranty
Note: Used parts means used parts! All used parts have been
examined with great care for functionality; their lifespan is unpredictable.
Please consider this especially by repeated installations and safety
related parts such as tires, steering and brake parts!
When taking orders over the phone, I try particularly hard to describe
the conditions in detail and honestly. This reduces disappointments
and expensive re-shipments.
Exchanges and Returns will be honored within 4 weeks [of purchase]
with total purchase price re-imbursement. According to new laws I am
also responsible for returning shipping costs for returns within 14
days and am obligated to extend the warranty for material defects (not
from normal usage) for used parts to one year and for new parts to two
years. Depending on customer actions this somewhat foreign law of consumer
protection ultimately leads to a general price increase from which my
steady customers will be excluded. In order to be fair please do not
insist on reimbursement of shipping costs when returning goods and do
not stretch the one or two year warranty to its limits. Of course any
installation costs or otherwise resulting expenses are excluded.
§
13 Buying of Parts
Of course I am always interested in buying parts. My parts have to
come from somewhere.
But I am a for-profit company. The following has to be covered from
the difference between purchase and sales price: VAT, estimated transportation
expense to and from Tuerkenfeld (€1.50 per km), loading and
unloading, sorting, storage arrangements, storage fees, costs associated
with capital investment, various general costs for office space, facility
area, telephone, advertising, work area et al and at the very least
income taxes.
Therefore I ask for your understanding that parts purchased from private
customers can only amount to a percentage of the [final] sales price.
This means, by less interesting 0-10% (the majority according to my
experience), up to 30% for the interesting ones and only by highly interesting
and easily re-sold parts up to 50%. Please consider this when offering
items for purchase.
